Drydown does not collect your data
There is no account, no sign-in, and no server. Your collection, your wearings and your notes are stored in a database on your iPhone and nowhere else.
What is stored, and where
Bottles, wearings, wishlist entries and settings live in a local SQLite database inside the app’s own storage. Photos you attach are referenced from your photo library; Drydown keeps the reference, not a second copy uploaded anywhere.
What leaves the device
Nothing about you, ever. Exporting a backup or a CSV writes a file and hands it to the iOS share sheet — you pick where it goes. Sharing a card renders a PNG on the device and hands that to the share sheet the same way.
The one thing Drydown downloads
Hundreds of fragrances are released every year, so — if you leave it switched on — Drydown fetches the published fragrance list about once a week. That request is a plain download of a public file. It carries no account, no device identifier, no advertising id, no cookie and no information about your collection or how you use the app. Nothing is uploaded; the traffic only goes one way. You can turn it off in Settings and the built-in list still works.
Reminders
The daily reminder, if you turn it on, is scheduled by iOS on your device from your own logged wearings. There are no push notifications, no push token, and no server involved, so nothing about what a reminder says ever leaves your phone.
Purchases
In-app purchases are handled by Apple. Drydown asks the App Store whether this Apple ID has bought Pro and records the answer locally so the app still works offline. No payment details, and no identifier for you, ever reach the developer. There is no third-party purchase or analytics service in the app.
Permissions
Drydown asks for nothing at launch. Adding a bottle photo opens the iOS photo picker, which does not require photo-library access. The only permission it ever requests is add-only access to your photo library, and only at the moment you tap Save to Photos on a card — sharing works without it.
Children
Drydown is a personal collection tool with no social features, no user-generated content visible to others, and no advertising.
Deleting your data
Settings has a Delete everything control that erases the local database. Because there is no server copy, that is a complete deletion. Removing the app from your iPhone also removes its database.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the updated version ships in an app update and the date at the top of this page changes with it.
